Across from the house you will discover a Chinese Garden, the perfect place to enjoy a cup of tea and a moment of peace. The spectacular entrance gate was built from a Chinese design and with materials sourced in China including the decorative tile featuring animals from Chinese mythology. Wandering through the gate you will discover a Japanese tea house, bridge, and koi pond. The central water feature is a trailing pond with a cascade waterfall, and along the far wall, presides a Buddha gifted to the owner from the Buddhist temple in Shek O, Hong Kong when it closed.

On the eastern side of the Ground Floor Balcony you will find a rack of kayaks, which you are free to use. For swimming access there is a ladder on the large dock next to the boat slip, but beware of the barnacles, which can cut your hands and feet. If you prefer to enter the water at a slower pace, look east for a wooden gate framed by two lions, pass through the gate and find steps down to a small beach where you can swim, sunbathe and kayak.
